About The Event
Through reflection and participatory exercises, we will elucidate our own fears and barriers that keep us separate and then explore shifting our view to a more liberated life of nonviolent interconnection and belonging. This time will allow us to rest in our shared questions, bear witness to the tumult and possibility of our times, and engage our inherent wisdom for the greater good. This is open to people of all faiths and traditions. We will explore nonviolence through the lens of Buddhist ethics and precepts as a framework for exploring how these relate to and expand our current views and skills.
Workshop will be led by Reverend Mary Myoku Remington. Mary is a Buddhist Chaplain and Director of the Buddhist Chaplaincy Program at Upaya Institute and Zen Center in Santa Fe, NM. For seven years, she was Director of the Spiritual Care Department at Good Samaritan Hospital, in Suffern, NY.…
