CANCELLED: Earth's Wild Call: An Experiential Workshop in the Woods
Time & Location
About The Event
The Earth awakens through the human mind…. [And the human mind awakens through the earth!]
We are the creative, scintillating, searing, healing flame of the awesome and enchanting universe. ~ Brian Swimme
In this workshop we will engage in a variety of experiential activities designed to cleanse our “doors of perception,” foster our embodied sensitivity, and join in intimate conversation with the glorious and wounded natural world
Solo and group activities will include:
· collaborative conversation
· guided meditation
· a meditative approach to eating (including the day’s lunch)
· poetry and art
· honoring the wisdom of our sadness, anger, and grief, as well as our joy, wonder, and gratitude
· perspectives from contemporary psychology as well as contemplative/meditative
spirituality (especially Zen Buddhism and Christian mysticism)
· supports for bringing such attuned sensibilities into our lives after the workshop
· suggestions for later reading and socially engaged involvement
